Isabel Hospice Midnight Swim - Hatfield Pool and Haileybury College

Phew, what a day.. and what fun we had today.  Isabel Hospice are one of the charities that we support by supplying balloon decor for some of their major fundraising events.

Today they were holding a sponsored midnight swim at 2 swimming pools with a theme of Sun and Surf.

The only time balloons should go pop !

Balloons go POP? I hear you ask?  When is it ok for balloons to go POP?  When they are exploding balloons of course! 

If you want something a bit special at your event, whether it is at your first dance of your wedding, the beginning of your party, or the opening or special part of your event - an Exploding Balloon will give you the effect that will fit the bill perfectly!

We have decorated many events with Exploding Balloons and they never cease to amaze people or surprise them!  How do we do it?  We don't use pins on the end of poles ... what's the point in that?  Don't you want it to be a surprise??  Seeing someone prod at the balloon is hardly spontanious is it?  We do our exploding balloons with a remote unit, just like one you would use to unlock your car.  The remote unit is powered by a battery and sits within your display - simply give the key remote to a DJ or trusted person to press at that special moment and BANG! away you go... hundreds of tiny balloons with confetti will shower down over you and your guests!  The tiny balloons will go down a treat if you have little ones at your party, it will keep them busy for hours as you enjoy your party.

Here are just a few samples of exploding balloons that we have put together.  They can be part of your decor by using a diamond clear 3ft balloon so people can see the tiny balloons - or you can use a dark colour so that people will not know there are balloons inside - the latter will give you more of a surprise!

We are not normally at the events when the balloons go off, but on this occasion we were there ! We still didn't catch it too well - but it does give a bit of an idea.  This ballooon didnt have confetti - just loads of little balloons.

Our First Wedding Fayre for 2012 - Sunday 4th March 2012

Today we exhibited at Ponsbourne Park in Hertford - our first wedding fayre of the year.  This time we have steered away from the usual colours or purple, pinks and pastels and went for the bold, striking elegant of Black and White.  We have always wanted to do a black and white but were always were a bit worried incase people were put off with a lack of colour.   We needn't have been so worried.  The elegant look went down well.

A bit like buses - all come at once - 50 Birthdays

This year we have decorated 4 "50"th birthdays all one after the other!  A bit like buses.. wait for ages.. and they all come at once.   And... they all loved the 50th displays that they chose the same!  Here are some photos covering some of the 50th Milestone birthdays we have decorated in the last couple of weeks!

BMW MINI - Roadster Launch

I want one! 
We helped bring a bit of sparkle to Specialist Cars Mini in Stevenage for the launch of the new Mini Roadster.  The VIP Launch, which we also attended, was a great evening, with music from Mice With Glasses and finished with one of our 3ft exploding balloons.

Olympic Events - BMW

BMW are one of our corporate customers along with BMW MINI.

We get the chance to decorate their showrooms in Stevenage, Tring and Luton whenever they have special events and new car launches.

Recently we were asked to come up with some ideas for the Olypic Event they were holding in their showroom in Tring and Stevenage.  Tring requested the olympic colours while Stevenage decided to stick with red, white and blue.

School Proms

School Proms are becoming ever popular now - in our days it was an end of school disco and nowhere near as glam!
